Will's Summary

I am responsible for the Network and IS EHR development at a progressive Mental Health Center. As part of this responsibility I am the HIPAA Security officer and part of the Center's corporate compliance team. The 19 member shop that I supervise includes function with - Network (Network, Security, Telephone & helpdesk) for 1000 users in 10 center locations and multiple remote locations - IS Development (EHR, Meaning full use, CCDA, Client Portal, electronic lab interface) for 700 users. My philosophy is that IS is a customer service organization that specializes in technology. As such outside consultants are surprised how highly the center staff speak about the IS operations. I am firm believer in collaboration for the greater good and as such am willing to spend time, when ever possible, helping either the State or other mental health organizations working on various committees.
