Tim's Summary

I am the President of Keating Wealth Management and have 34 years of Wall Street experience. Previously, I was the CEO and founder of a publicly traded closed-end fund focused on pre-IPO investing. Earlier in my career, I held senior management positions with Bear Stearns, Nomura and Kidder, Peabody in both London and New York. Keating Wealth Management is a financial planning and investment advisory firm that provides sophisticated financial advice, delivered with simplicity, to successful people navigating the financial implications of life transitions. I’m the author of numerous white papers on a variety of issues relating to the capital markets, ranging from IPOs to the Yale Endowment model of investing, and have been widely quoted in the national media, including publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Barron’s, Investor’s Business Daily, The New York Times, and the Venture Capital Journal. “The Behavioral Investor” is our blog that covers a wide range of issues, but whose unifying theme is the primacy of behavior in real-world investment success. For the past two decades, I have been active in the Denver business community, and am currently chairman of the Denver chapter of Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, part of the leadership team of the Denver chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. I am a 1985 cum laude graduate of Harvard College with an A.B. in Economics.
