Shawn is a serial entrepreneur and investor with more than 25 years experience in building software technology companies. The software he has architected is being used by millions of people around the world everyday. At heart, Shawn is an architect - serving as a liaison between concept and reality. His specialty is in new software product design and delivery—with a passion for building great teams that deliver transformational user experiences and improve quality of life. Dev IQ, is a custom software development studio, focused on enabling digital transformation. DVmobile's specialties include SaaS development, IT software modernization and cloud migration, building exceptional user experiences and monetizing disruptive technologies with a focus on Mobile, Cloud and Internet of Things (IoT). He formerly was responsible for new technology R&D for RedPrairie Corporation (now JDA)—a $1B+ enterprise software company; co-founder and CTO of StorePerform Technologies, the leader in Retail Store Execution Management (SEM)—acquired by RedPrairie in 2007. Prior to that, he was CTO of eToys Direct, acquired by ToysRus—including eToys.com, KBToys.com and KBkids.com eCommerce sites. He was also a founding team member of BoldTech Systems, acquired by Perficient. Shawn holds a Master's degree in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVRY University. Outside of work, Shawn is passionate about personal growth, loves photography, the outdoors, snowboarding, and kitesurfing. He also serves on the Board of the Blind Institute of Technology, and coaches a 90-Day Leadership program.
