Scott Key has three decades of global experience in B2B Information and Technology spaces with a focus on heavy industry in integrated Energy and Chemicals that extends across A&D, Automotive and Technology. Scott is currently a Corporate Director as well as a Strategic Advisor and Investor. Scott is a Director of Harte Hanks (NYSE) and serves on the Audit Committee. Scott also serves as the Vice Chair of Outward Bound USA and is passionate about the outdoors and the use of experiential learning to change lives through challenge and discovery as a path to create a more resilient and compassionate world. Scott served as President and Chief Executive Officer for IHS and a member of the company's board of directors thru June 1, 2015. Mr. Key also served as President and Chief Operating Officer for IHS and as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Marketing and Global Products and Services. Over 12+ years at IHS , he also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of IHS Global Insight, President and Chief Operating Officer of IHS Jane's and Chairman of Loyds Register Fairplay, based in Denver, London and Boston. While at IHS he significantly drove acquisitions, leading and integrating a number of IHS largest acquisitions and was directly involved in the IHS initial public offering. Prior to IHS, Mr. Key served as an executive in energy technology and deepwater oilfield development, based Europe and the U.S. Scott has spent much of his career outside the US, living and working abroad for more than 10 years in a range of business and operating roles. Mr. Key holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Physics and Mathematics from the University of Washington in Seattle, with a minor earned in Geoology. Mr. Key also earned a Master's degree in geophysics from the University of Wyoming.
