Scott Hicar Vice President, Chief Information Officer Scott Hicar is Vice President of Business Process and CIO for Benchmark Electronics. In this role, he has global responsibility for ensuring consistent, scaled processes and platforms support our customers and business globally. Prior to Benchmark Scott was CIO for TwentyEighty, a corporate learning and performance management company focused on sales growth, leadership and strategy execution, where he led digital transformation and corporate platforms. Prior to TwentyEighty, Scott was Senior Vice President and CIO for DigitalGlobe, a public Aerospace & Defense focused information products company. Scott led the implementation of geospatial cloud and ground processing platforms for USG and commercial customers. Additionally, he led merger activities, yielding $120m in Synergy from the acquisition of Geoeye, exceeding initial merger investment case. Prior to DigitalGlobe, Scott was Senior Vice President and CIO at Solectron Corporation, a 13+ billion dollar Electronic Manufacturing Industry Services provider leading a team of over 750 resources. Scott led the successful turnaround resulting from a failed ERP implementation’s impact on key customers and operations. Prior to Solectron, Scott was Vice-President, CIO for Maxtor, a manufacturer of storage products. At Maxtor Scott led the implementation of an IT platform that enabled the cost effective scale of the company from $1-4.5b over 7 years at a cost of less than 1% of revenue. The success of that program led CIO magazine to name him as one of its “Top 100” CIO’s in 2000. He was also a member of Computerworld magazine’s “CIO 100” in 2002. Mr. Hicar has more than 25 years of Technology Leadership experience in transformational roles, and previously held management positions in the Supply Chain/ERP practice at Price Waterhouse, as well as serving as an internal consultant to chemical, pharmaceutical, and agriculture businesses within ICI Americas. He received his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in business administration, with a concentration in management information systems, from Ohio University.
