As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Poureetezadi is responsible for strategic planning, implementation and stewardship of information technology services at the Town of Gilbert. Before joining Gilbert, Sasan served as Chief Strategy Officer for Economic Development and Strategic Partnerships at the Maricopa Community Colleges, and as interim president and Vice President of Information Technology at the largest of Maricopa’s 10-colleges, Mesa Community College. Previous to his roles at Maricopa, Poureetezadi worked as Director of Computer Services at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Before joining the Cronkite School, he served as computer learning and IT director at the Boys & Girls Clubs. Sasan has more than 20 years of IT leadership experience, and has served as an IT consultant for private, sports and higher education entities. He remains actively involved in various technology-based organizations, and has conducted presentations on a variety of information technology topics and solutions. Poureetezadi earned an Associate of Arts from Mesa Community College, a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University, and a Master of Education from Northern Arizona University.
