My career as an Engineer took a sharp turn in July 2013 after 19 firefighters lost their lives in the Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona. Deep in my bones, I knew something could prevent future tragedies like Yarnell Hill. As an engineer, I had to explore ways I could help. With insight from my firefighter brother, I got to work on a solution. And we found one. The unexpected discovery was that our technology – RoGO – would have the capacity to saves lives in multiple situations – during wildland fires, in the aftermath of natural disasters like hurricanes, floods and tornadoes, in human- and drug-trafficking environments, during military raids, and more. Here’s why. RoGO provides situational awareness when there is none. RoGO lets people communicate via satellite in remote, austere or cellular-denied areas. We empower those on the front lines of emergency relief by staying connected. We give them “eyes†when they otherwise can’t see. We keep them on the grid, even though for everyone else, it’s off. In keeping communication lines open and granting access to invisible areas, we can save lives. Disaster relief in our country – indeed in the world – is adequate if there is cellular service available. Whenever it’s not available, RoGO is there. We are your eyes and ears. --------- Prior to developing RoGO, I developed a passion and dedication to bringing technology solutions to market that solve real-world problems, especially solutions that assist America’s brave and honorable First Responders and Military personnel. I apply technical expertise to real-world problems in order to affect positive change. By identifying relevant technology solutions for large-scale data transfer needs, people can do their tasks with greater efficiency and effectiveness. Anything I have accomplished in life that has merit, that has truly mattered, was born of combining imagination, technical knowledge, determination and persistence.
