My passion is developing and scaling enterprise applications from concept to general availability encompassing business strategy, product development, customer satisfaction and market adoption. I currently head product development and engineering teams at Oracle building world class Enterprise Performance Management deployed by customers either on-premise or delivered as SaaS. My experience includes: -Working at large software organizations as well as early stage startups to IPO and acquisitions. -Managing all aspects of software engineering – development, quality assurance, product management, performance and automation testing, project management, and documentation. -Managing multiple products within a broad portfolio delivering hundreds of millions in license revenue and support revenue. -Establishing a broad vision and delivered new products, transformed existing products to align to the vision and sunset products as needed. -Being involved in all aspects of managing an organization: realignment, reduction in force, hiring of top talent, college recruiting, establishing offshore partners/vendors, and negotiating contractors. -Helping with assimilation and cultural transition as a result of acquisitions. Establishing modern and creative recognition programs to motivate and retain talent. -Participating in hundreds of meetings with customers to discuss product strategy, implementation plans, resolution of product issues, etc. Presenting to global audience at conferences. -Demonstrating product functionality and future roadmap enhancements to customers, prospects, external partners, internal sales and pre-sales -Co-founding consumer social startup to successful acquisition to a public company. Investing and advising in startups. Advising local university college of engineering as a board member as well as several years of experience teaching at community college and university.
