Chief Technology Officer at SEAKR Engineering. SEAKR is a privately held ~550 person company that designs, manufactures, and tests, complex electronic systems for commercial and government satellite applications. The identification, development and/or acquisition, and protection of new technologies for use in SEAKR products is my primary responsibility. I am also responsible for the identification and programmatic direction of R&D investments at SEAKR. A key focus is developing and maintaining roadmaps for technologies critical to SEAKR product lines. My technology focus includes defining and implementing strategies for the space qualification of microelectronics including Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) electronics. A specific focus is on the qualification of high density commercial memories (DRAM, NAND, and other technologies) along with commercial processors and mixed signal devices for use in space applications. My research activities include particle accelerator based Single Event Effect (SEE) measurements and mitigation strategies, along with component qualification strategies, in complex commercial component technologies including state of the art ASICs and FPGAs. The growth and development of the SEAKR intellectual property portfolio is a key portion of my work with a focus on the identification and development of invention disclosures. Freedom to operate reviews and IP risk management activities are led by myself in close collaboration with subject matter experts and external legal resources. I also serve as a core member of the company export compliance group. Specialties: Qualification and testing of microelectronic technologies for space applications. Initiation and management of research programs with internal and external contributors including strategic partners.
