Michael Jefferies serves as Chief Information Officer at Boulder Community Health and is responsible for implementing technology solutions that improve the care of the community, advance provider capabilities, and improve operational efficiency. He is passionate about improving the care of all people in the community with the consideration that you cannot separate mental and physical health. Michael has experience managing teams responsible for clinical, business, enterprise analytics, population health, and revenue cycle systems. Michael joined Boulder Community Health in June 2016 and has a diverse work setting experience including acute care hospitals, IT consulting, healthcare technology outsourcing, and working for a healthcare software developer. Prior to his current role Michael served as Vice President of Information Systems at Longmont United Hospital, Director of Applications at LUH, and previously worked at ACS/Xerox and McKesson providing IT solutions to hospitals across the country. Michael holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the University of Colorado, earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado with an emphasis in Information Systems, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds professional certifications as a Certified Healthcare CIO from CHIME, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS).
