Boulder Environmental Sciences and Technology (BEST) is developing a new generation of microwave radiometers for environmental monitoring. Our instruments that are lightweight, low power consuming, economical, user friendly. They are robust and built to maintain their accuracy, functionality and consistency over a long period of time. Microwave radiometer are most economical sensors for thermodynamic profiling, i.e. for measurement of atmospheric temperature and humidity vertical profiles. Additional advantage of radiometers is that they can deliver data under almost all weather conditions, maybe with the exception of a heavy rain. These measurements today are either not available, or are done with radiosondes, or via more complex and far more expensive instrumentation.
