Kate Hyatt is a Human Capital Executive with extensive global experience including EMEA and APAC regions. Kate speaks French and Italian. She is an expert in leading business transformations through the use of innovative people strategies. While at Staples, Kate lived in Amsterdam where she oversaw change management and divisional restructuring for the European business unit resulting in doubling of top-line revenue and reducing G & A by 40%. In her current role as Chief People Officer at Healthgrades, Kate has led strategic resource allocation projects identifying over $20M in cost savings to allow reinvestment in key growth initiatives including website product development and rebuilding the CRM platform. She was also instrumental in an extensive reorganization of the company including the replacement of three C-level executives and two CEO transitions. Kate has been highly successful in her M & A work. In 2009, she led the HR integration of Corporate Express into Staples achieving $700M in synergies over 18 months. In 2015, while at ProBuild, Kate oversaw the company’s post-acquisition integration after being acquired by a public company (Builders First Source) attaining the synergy target of $25M. Kate has a strong record of aligning compensation and benefits to achieve business results. At Healthgrades, she overhauled the health insurance plan offerings and the wellness program resulting in 15% reduction in annual spend. Kate has extensive experience working with Compensation Committees to develop long-term and short-term incentive plans to ensure goal alignment and executive retention. Succession Planning is another area of expertise for Kate. She created and launched programs for Staples, ProBuild and Healthgrades. In all cases she built new approaches which guaranteed 100% of executive level roles having ready-now candidates for succession. Additionally, Kate has built and implemented Board succession plans. Kate is a sought-after conference speaker and has delivered multiple programs on employee engagement, culture, change management, effective compensation/benefit plans and collaborative work spaces. Vendor partners and membership associations recognize Kate as a thought partner and have recruited her to serve on various advisory boards. In addition to having worked in technology for many years, Kate has gained expertise in cyber security and HITRUST certification through her membership on the Healthgrades Executive Information and Security Compliance Council. Kate is well-versed in incorporating social media and ESG factors into corporate strategy.
