Judy's Summary

Judy serves as a civic leader as the Vice President of the Colorado Society for Information Management organization and is a strategic IT Consultant for Liberty Media Corporation. Prior to Liberty Media, she most recently also was Senior Vice President of IT Services at Starz. Her teams were focused on enabling Starz employees to work anywhere, any time with any one in the world. Key services delivered by her teams included cloud and data center computing, IT security, business systems, collaboration, IT solutions engineering, project management, client engineering & operations, desktop architecture and engineering, and technology procurement. Prior to Starz, Batenburg was an IT director at IHS, overseeing global operations, help desk, infrastructure and IT program management. She started her career at AT&T Bell Laboratories/Lucent Technologies, where she oversaw the development and deployment of Lucent’s global network and system management environment. She has given numerous industry presentations on BYOD, organizational change, managing your career and managing global infrastructures, and was also interviewed on the MSNBC show “Pick of the Week,” for a segment that highlighted small business success stories. She also lends her leadership skills to others, by participating in the Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) Mentoring Program where she has mentored women in technology, and volunteered for the CSIA Women in Technology mentoring efforts. She was selected as the WICT Rocky Mountain 2016 Woman in Technology, and was one of ComputerWorld's Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2013. She is co-chair of the SIM Women group. She has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Delaware.
