As CEO of the Florida Technology Council, James Taylor has nearly 30 years experience working with Florida's education institutions and government agencies. Taylor's voice acts as an unbiased resource for industry leaders, legislators, agencies and staff working to create a stronger, safer, more efficient Florida. Mr. Taylor served as the technology industry representative for Governor Ron DeSantis Reopen Florida Taskforce; the Florida House of Representatives Cybersecurity and Electromagnetic Pulse Legislative Workgroup; and is an appointed member of the State of Florida Credentials Review Committee and a recent graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Citizens Academy. James is the visionary behind Tech Day at the Capitol (TM), the Florida CIO Mentorship Program, the FTC State Advisory Workgroup, and is a recipient of the Government Technology National Top 25 Award for individuals advancing technology in state government. He is a father of 4 who lives with his wife Penny in Tallahassee Florida.
