Greg was the CFO of Boston Market for over 7 years. As part of his duties as CFO, he has overseen most corporate functions including accounting, finance, payroll, risk management, public relations, information systems, loss prevention, property administration and other functions. A key part of Greg’s responsibilities is working on strategic matters and negotiations with vendors. Currently, Greg is working with a small team to explore the potential sale of Boston Market. During the bankruptcy of Boston Chicken, Inc., Greg was responsible for all cash management activities, restatement of the public company’s financial statements, a majority of due diligence inquiries with potential buyers and worked with a team of attorneys to sell the company. Prior to the bankruptcy, Greg worked with all the franchisees of Boston Market and Einstein Bagels and was responsible for consolidating all corporate functions of these entities into Boston Market. Prior to spending the last 10 years at Boston Market, Greg worked in the audit division of Arthur Andersen. Greg worked with clients in many different industries (utilities, oil and gas, restaurants, ski resorts, cable TV, movie companies and high tech companies). Greg spent a majority of his time with public companies involved in raising debt and equity, corporate restructurings, IPOs and various other financing matters. In addition, he worked on litigation support services and corporate re-engineering efforts. Greg graduated from the University of Iowa and is a CPA.
