IT is complex, and I can help you sort it out. I am a senior IT leader, and during my 35 years in IT, I have many times led teams through this never-ending cycle of change. People, process and technology must all work well together to successfully deliver a new IT solution. My success as an IT leader is grounded upon moving all three aspects of the triangle forward. Building a culture of excellence is a personal passion. From that foundation, quality IT solutions are built. I have been re-engineering IT my entire career. Those achievements include creation of an IT PMO, an ITIL-based service management/help desk team, infrastructure lifecycle management (ILM) strategies, programs that bridge biomedical and IT teams, and led the highest level adoption of HITRUST data security strategies. I have a knack for getting things done. I can breakdown complex problems into executable tasks, see the critical path, and create a technology vision for technical and non-technical leaders and executives. I prefer to provide the vision/framework, then piloting the team through buy-in and execution of that vision over time. I can bring out the best in your people because I take the time to mentor future IT leaders. I am passionate about bringing out the best in everyone, but willing to have those hard conversations when needed. I have strong financial/vendor management and contract negotiation skills, used to acquire reliable, scalable, high-end hardware and software technologies with short-term ROI. I established, audited and forecasted budgets in excess of $65M, provided cost analysis and reporting for a $3.5B organization. Working in non-profit for many years, I am an expert at streamlining and strengthening financial performance to drive long-range goals and realize significant savings. I have contributed to multiple Advisory Boards, the Colorado Chapter of HIMSS Board, and am PMP certified.
