Administrative Experience: • Prepared and managed public school budgets in $30 to $130 million range; • Participated in key strategic planning processes for two districts with responsibility for organizing and implementing the business office support services portions of each plan; • Developed accounting systems to adequately address cash flow, accruals, accounts payable and receivable, and all pertinent regulatory guidelines; • Collaborated with auditors to ensure that financial statements were complete and in acceptable formats; • Played key role in organizing successful municipal bond issue elections (two in Oregon $62 Million, $10 Million, one in Wyoming $26 Million) and subsequent sale of bonds, management of funds, and reporting requirements; • Successfully orchestrated major construction projects new and renovation including a $62 Million in Oregon and $70 million projects in Carbon County (on-going); • Supervised facilities, operations, grounds and administrative personnel with an emphasis on safety; • Conducted successful negotiations with unions and with other representative groups to ensure fair and equitable compensation packages; • Prepared and delivered formal financial reports to Boards of Directors; • Ensure that Districts had state-of-the-art equipment for instruction; • Owned and operated two profitable private sector businesses making payroll for sixty plus employees in wholesale and retail operations. • Grower of nursery stock and maintenance of grounds.
