Bill Myers is Managing Director of Communications at Liberty Global, the largest international TV and broadband company in the world. Liberty Global operates in 12 European countries under the consumer brands Virgin Media, Unitymedia, Telenet and UPC. Its next-generation services connect over 22 million customers to 46 million TV, broadband internet and telephony services. Prior to Liberty Global, Bill was Vice President of Marketing & Communications at DaVita, a $14 billion fully integrated healthcare company serving 1.5 million patients throughout the United States and abroad. Bill joined DaVita in March, 2010 and directed a team responsible for external and internal communications, marketing, digital strategy, social media, physician outreach and CEO engagement as well as the execution of DaVita’s nationally recognized philanthropy and social responsibility efforts. Bill previously worked at UnitedHealth Group (UHG) as Vice President of Government Affairs. In that role, Bill was responsible for healthcare-related legislation, educating policymakers and supporting business growth initiatives with state government officials and agencies. Prior to joining UHG, Bill worked at Qwest Communications for 11 years in various communications and government affairs capacities. Bill has also been involved in campaigns and politics, having worked in Washington D.C. as a legislative director for a Member of Congress from North Carolina. Bill has also worked on numerous state- and federal-level political campaigns, including serving as deputy campaign manager and issues director of a U.S. Senate candidate in Colorado. Bill received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University. He serves on more than four philanthropic and business boards in Denver.
