DaVita is a Fortune 500® health care provider focused on transforming care delivery to improve quality of life for patients around the globe. The company is the largest provider of kidney care services in the U.S. and has been a leader in clinical quality and innovation for 20 years. With revenues of nearly $3B in 2019, and a world headquarters in Denver, CIO Allan Cullop is responsible for all aspects of global IT including strategy, technology, architecture and operations. Since 2012, he has established meaningful relationships across the executive team and Board of Directors and championed transformational initiatives to strategically align IT function with business goals and objectives. He also introduced digital strategy for patients, physicians and teammates (employees) utilizing cloud based platforms with analytic and AI driven capabilities to personalize experience. And, he and his team also established business focused processes for selection of most valuable initiatives, use of big data, analytics, AI, machine learning to provide platforms for solving complex business and financial needs. Alan’s background prior to DaVita is extensive, including as the CIO of TriZetto Corporation between 2010 and 2012 where he was responsible for all aspects of global IT strategy and operations. As CIO and EVP of IT for Berkshire Hathaway/NetJets, he drove global IT strategy and overall IT operations in support of their multi-billion dollar growth between 2005 and 2009. And, prior to Berkshire, he was the CTO of Cendant. Alan has also been very involved in the community, and was one of the first supporters of the Blind Institute of Technology, including as a "celebrity CIO" for BIT's "Dining In The Dark" annual fundraiser. Since the beginning of the event, Alan has been a continuing supporter and sponsor of the event, and will celebrate five years of support at the 2020 event this year.
